最佳解答:

ROMER'S TREE FROG Romer's Tree Frog (Philautus romeri) is an endemic species. It can be found in Hong Kong and nowhere else in the world. In other words, if all the Romer's Tree Frogs in Hong Kong die, this species will become extinct! Among the 22 species of frogs and toads in Hong Kong, Romer's Tree Frog is the smallest. The female is slightly larger than the male and can reach 2 cm in length from snout to vent. It is brown in colour with a dark X-shaped marking on the back, which gives camouflage against the background. In 1952, Romer's Tree Frog was first discovered in a cave on Lamma Island by the late J. D. Romer, an amateur herpetologist and so it was named after him. That population disappeared in 1953 due to the collapse of the cave. Although once thought to be extinct, Romer's Tree Frog was re-discovered on Lamma Island in 1984. Since then, it has been found on Lantau, Chek Lap Kok and Po Toi Islands.
